Proposal: The Smith School of Business proposes launching a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program designed to provide students with an understanding of Business Analytics, and its techniques and methods. In the past decade, Business Analytics has gained enormously in prominence with business and government institutions and entities understand its importance and power in forecasting, prediction, and managerial decisions making. There is high demand for managers with Business Analytics skills and we anticipate that this demand will grow. The graduates of this program will develop skills needed to serve the many business analytics and big data related tasks and jobs by providing them with strong quantitative skills and in-depth knowledge of computational applications and information technology.
