Proposal: During its 2022 Legislative Session, the Maryland General Assembly passed a bill that changed the definitions of “harassment” and “sexual harassment” for certain employment discrimination state law provisions. The revised definitions are effective on October 1, 2022. These state law changes required revising the definition of “Harassment” and adding a definition of “Sexual Harassment” in the University of Maryland Non-Discrimination Policy and Procedures.
