Senate Bill 20-21-20

Bill ID: 20-21-20
PCC ID: 693
Name: PCC Proposal to Modify the Master of Public Health - Add Health Care Management Concentration
Proposed: 10/02/2020
Sponsor: Luisa Franzini, School of Public Health
Proposal: The School of Public Health is requesting to create a new concentration in Health Care Management in the MPH program. The new concentration's curriculum is identical to the curriculum of the current MHA (Master of Health Administration) in person. Having this program exist as an MPH concentration better reflects the competencies of the program and is in line with how similar programs are offered at our peer institutions. We will keep offering the MHA program online (HLSO), which remains unchanged. The description of the current MHA on the SPH website states: The MHA program is considered to be equivalent to the MPH and is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
