Proposal: | The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences in the College of Behavior and Social Sciences proposes to establish a face-to-face Post-Master's Certificate in Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology for Practitioners. The proposed certificate will provide licensed speech language pathologists with the knowledge and skills needed to serve clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Administered by the Office of Extended Studies, the 12-credit program will utilized the semester academic calendar to offer five course that emphasize the clinical application and training in bilingual service delivery. To be eligible, students must demonstrate a conferred graduate degree in speech-language pathology. The program intends to launch in Spring 2021. |
