Actions: During the PCC process, the Department and the Office of Academic Planning and Programs came to an agreement on a more succinct name for the program: Supporting Children with Intensive Behavior Needs. The name was inadvertently not incorporated into the final proposal. The Associate Provost for Academic Planning and Programs notified the Senate of the oversight at the Senate meeting on December 4, 2019, and approved the revised program name administratively on December 5, 2019, prior to approval by the President, the System, and the State.

Actions: The committee considered this proposal at its meeting on November 1, 2019. Gulnoza Yakubova, from the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education, presented the proposal and responded to questions from the committee. The PCC Committee discussed with the proposer ways in which the Department might expand its efforts to recruit a diverse student body, and recommended that the Department include in its recruitment efforts outreach to professional organizations representing minority educators. This advice was enthusiastically accepted. After discussion, the proposal was approved by the committee.
