Proposal: The Robert H. Smith School of Business proposes to rename the B.S. in
Logistics, Transportation and Supply Chain Management as the B.S. in
Supply Chain Management to align more closely with the contemporary
terminology in the field.

The proposal was submitted to the Senate by the Office of Academic Affairs
following favorable recommendation by the Academic Planning Advisory
Committee (APAC) on October 13, 2008 and the Senate Programs, Curricula
& Courses Committee on October 31. If the Senate approves the proposal, it
would still require further approval by the President and the Chancellor (with
notification to the Maryland Higher Education Commission).
