Proposal: | The A. James Clark School of Engineering and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering propose to establish a 12-credit Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Networking Software Development. This certificate program will be for students who are enrolled in the Master of Science in Telecommunications program. As computer networks become more sophisticated there is a growing need for software designed specifically for computer networks. Examples of emerging networking software technologies are Software Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization. As these technologies increase in use, there is an emerging need for telecommunications professionals who are skilled in networking software development. |
