Decision: The Committee on Committees voted to send the proposed slates to the SEC for review.
Actions: The Committee on Committees met on May 17, 2016 and May 26, 2016 to review all of the committee volunteers and their statements. The Committee on Committees had 93 membership openings to fill on the regular standing committees of the Senate, and 247 volunteers from the various constituencies on campus. he committee endeavored to create balanced standing committee memberships, representing a variety of colleges, disciplines, constituencies, and gender. The committee selected faculty, staff, and students volunteers to fill the open positions. The committee members used the volunteers' top three choices from their preference form to place them onto respective committees. Members of the Committee on Committees were assigned responsibilities for further recruitment efforts, as needed.

The 2016-2017 Committee on Committees voted to approve the final slate via an email vote concluding June 28, 2016. Following the final placements, the Senate Office informed all of the volunteers whether they had been placed on a committee for the upcoming academic year.

The Senate Chair-Elect worked with the Provost's Office to create a slate of candidates for the University Library Council. In accordance with the Library Council Bylaws, the slate of University Library Council appointees will be approved by both the Senate Committee on Committees and the Senior Vice President and Provost.

The Senate Chair and the Director of the Senate worked with the Vice President of Research to create the slate of appointees for the University Research Council.

The Senate Chair and the Director of the Senate worked with the Vice President of Information Technology (IT) and Chief Information Officer to create a slate of appointees for the University IT Council.
