The University Senate Office is seeking guidance on an appropriate mechanism for replacing Senator and committee member(s) if the current occupants are no longer eligible to fill his/her seat.

Actions: The ERG Committee reviewed the proposal at its meeting on October 22, 2012 and discussed questions and concerns related to the issue. The committee decided to ask for more information from the Senate Office and return to the issue at its meeting on November 27th. The committee met with representatives from the Senate Office and discussed the issues involved on November 27th, and discussed the charge again at its meeting on December 14th to make recommendations.

The ERG Committee reviewed its recommendations and the Plan of Organization in January 2013. It completed its work on the charge and voted to send its report and recommendations to the SEC and the Senate.
