The ERG Committee received the School of Public Health's Plan of Organization on November 12, 2010 and began review of the Plan at the December 1, 2010 meeting. The Committee decided that the Plan of Organization from the School of Public Health was in non-compliance with the University's Plan of Organization. The Committee sent the Plan back to the School of Public Health with comments and suggestions for revisions. The Committee suggested the School send the edited version back to the Committee prior to a faculty vote in case further revision was needed.
At the March 9, 2011 meeting the Committee reviewed the submitted revisions from the School of Public Health and determined that the Plan was still not in compliance. The Committee voted to again send the Plan back to the School with comments and revisions. Additionally, the Committee voted to have a small group meet with representatives from the School of Public Health to further explain some the of the Committee's suggestions and assist the School in editing the document. In Response to ERG's invitation for a meeting representatives from the School of Public sent a letter declining the invitation.
The School of Public Health resubmitted a revised Plan of Organization to the Committee in April 2011. On April 27, 2011 the ERG Committee reviewed the revisions and again determined that the Plan was not in compliance. The Committee voted again to return the Plan with comments and suggestions. The Committee will continue with the review process in the Fall of 2011 after the School of Public Health resubmits the revised Plan.
The School of Public Health submitted a revised version of the Plan to the ERG Committee on September 30, 2011. The Committee discussed the revised Plan at its October 3, 2011 meeting and voted to review the Plan and approve it electronically if no further edits were required. Upon review the Committee determined the Plan was still missing required elements and requested further revision. ERG also invited representatives from SPHL to come to the November 7, 2011 meeting to discuss the Plan.
At the November 7, 2011 ERG meeting the Committee met with Mary Kivlighan, Assistant Dean of the SPHL;Cheryl Holt, Chair of the SPHL Senate; and Brad Hatfield, past Chair of the SPHL Senate. The Committee and the SPHL representatives discussed and resolved all pending concerns with the Plan. |
