Decision Date: 2010-09-13
Decision: The committee voted to send a letter to the Department of Public Safety.
Actions: Following discussion at the Spring 2010 Safety Forum, the Campus Affairs Committee discussed adding a non-voting ex-officio representative of the Department of Public Safety to the Campus Affairs Committee. Due to other pressing issues, this discussion was postponed until the Fall 2010 semester.

At the September 13, 2010 meeting the Campus Affairs Committee discussed whether or not to add a Public Safety Ex-Officio Representative to the committee. Though it was felt that a non-voting Ex-Officio Representative from Public Safety would be of great use to the committee, the administrative burden it would entail was thought to outweigh the benefits. A motion was made to keep the standing invitation to the police department and was passed. A letter was sent to the Chief for the standing invite for the remainder of the year.
