Received: 2010-10-27
Decision Date: 2010-11-03
Decision: The ERG Committee voted to forward its recommendations to the SEC for consideration.
Actions: The ERG committee met on November 3, 2010 and used the ratio stipulated in the Senate Plan of Organization of 17 to 1 for faculty and 1000 to 1 for undergraduate students to calculate the apportionment of seats. After reviewing the data received from the Office of Institutional Research Planning & Assessment (IRPA), which showed the faculty having a total number of 374 (according to the above definition) and the undergraduate students having a total number of 3,879 (for current enrollment). The ERG Committee recommends that the number tenure/tenure-track faculty senate seats for CMNS be increased to 22 in order to account for the slight change in the ratio. The ERG Committee also recommends that the undergraduate student senate seats for CMNS be increased to 4 in order to account for a similar fluctuation.
