Senate Bill 19-20-16

Bill ID: 19-20-16
Name: Revision to the Senate Bylaws on Representation for the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion
Proposed: 09/16/2019
Sponsor: Senate Office
Proposal: In spring 2019, the University appointed its first Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. The Senate Bylaws currently provide representation on the Campus Affairs and Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI) Committees for the Chief Diversity Officer, a title which is now out of date. The Senate needs to revise its Bylaws to update titles as appropriate and consider whether representation should be extended to the Vice President or their designee.
