Proposal: The M.A. in Spanish is currently divided into two areas: Spanish literature and Latin American literature. We would like to add a third area, Hispanic applied linguistics, Students who wish to study Hispanic applied linguistics will take required courses in that area as well as in Latin American/Spanish/US Latino(a) literatures, and elective courses. No new resources or classes are needed at this time.
