Volunteer for the Nominations Committee

The Senate Committee on Committees has assembled a slate of candidates for the 2009-2010 Nominations Committees, which is comprised of outgoing Senators. While the minimum number of candidates have been secured, we welcome additional nominations from the floor of the Senate at the meeting on December 10, 2009.

The Nominations Committee is charged with soliciting nominations from the membership of the Senate for the Executive Committee, Chair-Elect, the Committee on Committees, and other University-wide committees and councils. The Nominations Committee submits a slate of candidates for the Transition Meeting elections in May. The Senate relies on the good judgment of the members of the Nominations Committee to present candidates that reflect the quality and diversity of our campus community.

The committee consists of (4) faculty members, one (1) exempt staff member, one (1) non-exempt staff member, one (1) graduate student, and one (1) undergraduate student. The Chair-Elect of the Senate shall serve as a non-voting, ex-officio member of the Nominations Committee. The Nominations Committee shall elect its own Chair.
